Peacefully surrounded by his 3 daughters at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 of Dewar Law Simms of Charlottetown, age 85 years. Husband of the late Jessie Simms (nee Murray). Loving father of Cindy (Scott) MacDonald, Lori (Darryl) Hughes and Donna (Mark) Kelly. Papa to 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Survived by brother Sterling (Kathy) Simms, step-brother Norman (the late Anne) MacLeod, sister-in-law Donna MacLeod Simms and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Douglas and Ida Simms, brother Bobby Simms, sister Ellen Audrey Simms, step-sister Catherine MacLeod, sister-in-law Debbie Murray and parents-in-law Stanley and Lillian Murray. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the Peoples Cemetery.
