Ceilidh features Tip Er Back

Tip Er Back is hosting its third ceilidh of the season at Afton Community Centre Sunday, July 30.

The ceilidh runs 7:30-9:30 p.m. with a lunch provided at intermissi­on.

Admission is at the door. Afton Community Centre is an air conditione­d hall located on Route 19 in New Dominion.

Tip Er Back features three members of the former Kickin Country band – Allan Betts, Clive Currie and Wade Murray. They have been performing together since 1984 pleasing many island audiences. This is their third ceilidh season at Afton Hall.

Darlene Bradley, who returns to the stage with Tip Er Back, is a proven crowd-pleaser. She appears regularly with Tip Er Back during their ceilidh season.

Also appearing at this ceilidh is special guest Lester MacPherson. No stranger to the music scene, MacPherson’s list of accomplish­ments in music includes four awards. He has won male artist of the year at the Music P.E.I. Awards, country male artist of the year in 2002 and the Island Wide Talent Competitio­n in 1983.
