He was predeceased by his son Anthony (in infancy), parents Ernest and Elizabeth (Rose) Avery, and parents-in-law Bill and Helen Gill. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Ryan Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Mt. Ryan Cemetery would be appreciated. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 6:30 p.m. Due to allergies please refrain from wearing scents.
