The Funeral for George Denton Clark, was held Friday September 1, 2017 from the Davison Funeral Home Kensington to the North Bedeque United Church where the service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Jack Spencer. The Scripture readings were given by Randy Helander, Tom Price, Robert Price and Michael Gaffney. Soloist Kirk Neville rendered the selections How Great Thou Art and The Old Rugged Cross. Congregational hymns were Great is Thy Faithfulness and Blessed Assurance. Organist was Kendal Godkin. Mandolin accompanist was by Robert Price. Pallbearers were Brenton Collett, James MacMurdo, Douglas MacGregor, Douglas MacMurdo, J. Darrach Murray and Wendell Murray. Comrades of the Lt. Col. W.E. Johnstone Branch No. 9 Royal Canadian Legion Kensington held a service at the funeral home Thursday evening conducted at 6 p.m. by Comrade Denny Hopping. Sgt.-at-arms was comrade Michael Hopping. The Colour Party was formed by Comrades David Doucette, Dean Cole, Lloyd Banks and Randy McCourt. Silence was broken by Branch President Lester Davison.
