Jensen signs with SGO

Company will administer publishing world wide for his music

-

Stratford’s Bob Jensen has announced that he is signing on with SGO Music of the U.K.

They will administer publishing world wide for his music, including some back catalogue, like the songs from his LP First Time Since August as well as current collaborations with artists such as Nashville’s Alan Rhody Zimbabwe’s Black Umfolosi and England’s legendary Oysterband.

Jensen is currently working with some high profile songwriters from four continents. Most of the material is intended for his spoken word CD project, Other Voices, which will feature more than a dozen artists such as Sylvia Tyson, Lennie Gallant and Pulitzer-nominated war poet John Guzlowski performing his poetry and music.

As a BMG affiliate, SGO is partnered with one of the five biggest music companies in the world. Some of SGO’s current clients include Sir Cliff Richard, Eric Bibb and Canada’s own Mo Kenney. They have placed songs with major artists such as Janet Jackson as well as in television and movies, including the massively popular Twilight series, which has grossed well over one billion dollars.

Jensen, who has worked as an international booking agent for more than two decades, says his latest endeavours are a creative outlet he pursues in his spare time.

“I continue to be very busy with my agency, but it’s great to have an outlet as a writer again. I have been asked to perform my spoken word poetry in England next summer and have recently obtained a British agent for such events.”

Jensen is also working on a book which centers around the poetic interpretations of 100 paintings by Marc Chagall.
