Sunday Night Shenanigan­s, hosted by Judy MacLean at York Community

Centre, has announced its lineup for Sept. 10, starting at 7 p.m., with proceeds to

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.

Leading the way is a trio of musicians whose music choices include traditiona­l, Celtic and country tunes. Len Buell, Edna MacMaster and Wayne MacLean have been entertaini­ng audiences across the Island for the past few years. Featured singer/songwriter Len Buell has recorded a CD called “Nothin’ Fancy”, which includes many favourite songs he and fellow musician Billy McCormack often sang at concerts and benefits when called upon. McCormack is the son of wellknown recording artist Smilin’ Bill McCormack.

Also returning to the stage is Cape Breton’s Evelyn MacCrae who hails from Mabou, and is known for her strong vocals and guitar-picking skills. She has recorded many CDs during her career and has performed with well known artists at the annual Hank Snow Tribute Show held for the past 27 years in Liverpool, N.S.

Other featured guests include fiddler Alan Macdonald, keyboardis­t Duncan Matheson,

Champion step dancer Kristyn Visser, singer/songwriter Emmett DeCoursey and guest emcee Colton “Elvis” Matheson.

The evening includes a 50/50 draw, a light lunch and Vesey’s Seeds prize.
