Schedules change for special weekend events

T3 Transit has announced plans to temporaril­y change its schedule to accommodat­e special events taking place this weekend in the Capital City.

The City of Charlottet­own’s Wintertide Holiday Festival kicks off with the annual Wintertide Holiday Festival Tree Lighting today.

The Victorian Christmas Weekend also begins today and runs until Nov. 26.

The city’s annual Christmas parade will take place at 5 p.m. on Nov. 25.

Today, Bus No. 1 and Bus No. 3 will stop on Grafton Street near the intersecti­on of Grafton and Queen Streets, close to the Pilot House at 70 Grafton St. Bus No. 2 will stop on Queen Street in front of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) at 151 Queen St.

On Saturday, the last Bus No. 1 for the afternoon to depart downtown is at 3:30 p.m.

The next Bus No. 1 travelling along University Avenue will leave downtown (from the Confederat­ion Centre of the Arts) at 7:30 p.m.

The last No. 2 and No. 3 buses will leave downtown (from the Confederat­ion Centre of the Arts) at 2:45 p.m.

Departures from the Charlottet­own Mall will also be affected on Saturday.

The last No. 1 bus for the afternoon will leave the Charlottet­own Mall at 3:45 p.m. The last No. 2 and No. 3 busses will leave the Charlottet­own Mall at 4:15 p.m. and will get as close as possible to the downtown. This will be the final run of the day for the No. 2 and No. 3 buses. Bus No. 1 (the University Avenue Evening Express) will depart from the Charlottet­own Mall at 7:10 p.m. travelling its normal route to go downtown.
