Dylan Menzie busy with fall tour, national television series

-

Dylan Menzie has been plenty busy throughout 2017 and won’t be slowing down leading into what could be an even busier 2018.

The P.E.I.-based troubadour is performing a string of shows throughout Ontario including a performance at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre – ahead of a special holiday show in his hometown of Charlottetown on Dec. 8.

He will also release a brand new acoustic collection featuring stripped-down takes on tracks from his heralded 2016 album, “Adolescent Nature”.

“I really enjoyed reimagining the songs from ‘Adolescent Nature’ in a more intimate setting and can’t wait to share some of them from the stage on this tour – just me, my guitar and maybe a few little surprises,” says Menzie.

Immediately following his first tour of Australia, Menzie kicked off his Ontario trek in Ottawa and wrap it up in Orillia eight days later.

Then, the artist and his band will perform at Charlottetown’s The Mack on Dec. 8 for “Dylan Menzie of Christmas Yet to Come”, a special night of original and holiday music with some surprise guests in support of Charlottetown’s Upper Room Soup Kitchen.

In January 2018, Menzie will be one of 30 rising Canadian artists to be featured on The Launch, an all-new, six-part music television series on CTV. The show features superstars like Shania Twain, Fergie, Nikki Sixx, and Alessia Cara and offers an authentic behind-thescenes look at the creation of a new original song for a budding major label recording artist.

Also expected in the first quarter of 2018 is “As the Clock Rewinds”, Menzie’s collection of reworked cuts from his heralded sophomore LP Adolescent Nature, plus a bonus track. The debut single will be available to download and stream in the coming weeks and Menzie will be sharing several of the stripped-down takes during his upcoming live dates.
