The P.E.I. French Health Network (PEIFHN) has announced that a day of activities dedicated to bilingual workers in Prince Edward Island’s public and private health-care sector will be held on Friday, March 2, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside.

A registration form is available at www.santeipe.ca. People are asked to register by Friday, Feb. 23. For more information about this event, contact Patricia Richard by email at info@santeipe.ca or by telephone at 902-854-7444.

The Health Network was committed to offering this great opportunity to bilingual health professionals after a successful similar day back in March 2016.

The day will get underway with a conference by Acadian Senator René Cormier on the importance of language and culture in health care service delivery. This will be followed by a workshop made up of experiential activities, exchanges and reflections.

A free luncheon will be provided during which the second Étoiles Santé Gala will take place. The Étoile Santé prize will be presented at this time.

During the day, participants will have a chance to visit personal and professional development booths. The day will end with an interactive workshop, La personne au coeur du service (Putting people at the heart of service delivery).

This day is free and participants will be reimbursed for their travel expenses within the province.
