Meetings
The March meeting of the Garden Club of P.E.I. will be held March 21 at Trinity United Church, 220 Richmond St., Charlottetown at 7 p.m. Guest speaker Heather Myers of IWMC will speak about composting.
The Charlottetown Women’s PROBUS Club
is celebrating its 15th anniversary on March 21 at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel on Kent Street. Charter and former members have been invited. A special program is planned followed by social time with cake and coffee. If school is cancelled due to the weather, the meeting will be postponed to April 18.
A group meets for an indepth study and discussion on the text of “A Course in Miracles” on Fridays, 7 p.m., 22 Garfield St., Charlottetown. Call Timmy at 902566-1859.
Fundraiser
Annual barbecue pork dinner will be put on by St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 391 Nelson St., Crapaud, Saturday, March 24, with two seatings: 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (storm date: March 25: times the same). Presentation
UPEI master’s student Anne Shileche will speak about Women’s Empowerment and Civic Engagement in Kenya on March 22 at 7 p.m. in the third floor dining hall at the Health Sciences Building at UPEI. Organized by the PEIHEA, the event is in celebration of World Home Economics Day, which took place March 20. International snacks will be provided. Donations, either cash or food, are most welcome. People planning on attending are asked to send an email to peihea@hotmail.com, so organizers can ensure there’s enough food.
