Dog dies af­ter be­ing shot in Nor­way, P.E.I.

Po­lice in West Prince are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a dog’s death af­ter it suf­fered gun­shot wounds last week.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred in Nor­way on June 4 at around 7:45 p.m. The dog’s own­ers heard a shot in their neigh­bour­hood and their dog re­turned home se­ri­ously in­jured with a gun­shot wound.

The own­ers rushed the dog to a vet­eri­nar­ian in O’Leary, but the dog had to be put down as a re­sult of its in­juries.

The RCMP is re­quest­ing as­sis­tance from the pub­lic to help solve this crime. Any­one who may have heard the shot or has any in­for­ma­tion about this in­ci­dent can con­tact the West Prince RCMP de­tach­ment at 902-853-9300 or pro­vide a tip anony­mously through Crime Stop­pers.
