Gas prices drop 3.8 cents in mid-month ad­just­ments

Prices for pe­tro­leum prices have dropped across P.E.I. as the Is­land Reg­u­la­tory and Ap­peals Com­mis­sion an­nounces its mid­month ad­just­ments.

Gas prices have de­creased by 3.8 cents per litre and now range be­tween 127.9 and 129.0 cpl for reg­u­lar, un­leaded gas.

Diesel prices have de­creased by 3.0 cpl and now range from 134.2 cpl to 135.4 cpl.

Fur­nace and stove oil prices have gone down by one cent and will now amount to 96.1 cpl.

Propane prices have de­creased by 0.7 cpl for Su­pe­rior Propane; by 2.5 cpl for Ken­mac En­ergy Inc. and will in­crease by 1.3 cpl for Irv­ing En­ergy Dis­tri­bu­tion and Mar­ket­ing.

The com­mis­sion cred­its the changes to im­proved whole­sale pric­ing over the past two weeks. Its next ad­just­ment is sched­uled for July 1.
