Doiron reoffers for Charlottetown’s Ward 6
Bob Doiron has announced his intention to seek the Ward 6 (Mount Edward) seat on Charlottetown city council.
Municipal voters head to the polls on Monday, Nov. 5.
Doiron and his wife, Lori, raised their three children, Brandy, Taylor and Logan, in the community and are now able to watch their grandchildren grow up there. As a lifelong resident of the community, Doiron understands the values and needs of the residents.
Since 1987, Doiron has been a member of the UPEI Security Police Department where he currently holds the position of corporal. In 2014, he was elected to the city council for Ward 6, during which time he worked to express his concerns for equal distribution of city resources.
“I fell all wards of the city should be treated equally, we are all residents of the City of Charlottetown and deserve equal services.”
The current Sherwood Community Centre is a project Doiron is passionate about.
“The plans have been designed Doiron and the possibility of having a newly innovative and improved building in our community would be imperative to current and future generations,” he said in a news release.
The community has grown over the past four years, and Doiron wants to continue moving in a positive direction to ensure all residents reap the benefits of hard work and innovation that’s taking place in Charlottetown.
“I strongly believe that by working together, we can make these difficult decisions and grow our community for today and our future generations.”
