It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of our beautiful newborn son Finn Justin Boyd MacLean at the IWK Hospital in Halifax on August 23rd, 2018. After being born, Finn fought with incredible strength, only to pass 30 hours later in the arms of his heartbroke­n parents and family. Finn is survived by his loving parents Justin and Alison (MacLellan) MacLean of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, his grandparen­ts Bruce and Cathy MacLean of Stratford, P.E.I., and Joe and Kristen MacLellan of North Wiltshire, P.E.I. Finn will also be greatly missed by his great grandparen­ts Jim and Mary Sherren of Stratford, P.E.I. and Marjorie Sexton of Falmouth, Nova Scotia. He will also be forever remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins: Erin, Levy, Marcus, and Penelope Bedo of Sydney, Nova Scotia. - Brent, Gorica, Luka, and Talia MacLellan of Waterdown, Ontario. - Lauren and Parker MacInnis of Summerside, P.E.I. - Matt, Daniele and Clara MacLean of Emyvale, Prince Edward Island. - Mary Ellen MacLean of Toronto, Ontario. - Bethany MacLean, David Allen, and Noah of Charlottet­own, Prince Edward Island, and - Andrew MacLean of Stratford, Prince Edward Island. Our family wishes to express our eternal gratitude for the wonderful kindness, empathy, and dedication shown by the physicians, nurses and other support staff at the IWK Hospital during this difficult time. A private, family Memorial Service for Finn will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Donations in Finn’s name can be made to the IWK Hospital.

The funeral for William “Billy” Neale was held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel to Trinity United Church where the service was conducted by The Reverend Catherine Crooks. The scriptures were read by daughters-in-law Maribeth Neale and Vanessa Neale. Words of remembranc­e were given by sister Joan Rogerson. Congregati­onal hymns were “Morning Has Broken”, “Amazing Grace” and “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah”. Soloist Suzanne Campbell sang “On Eagles’ Wings” and “In the Sweet By and By”. Organist was Donald Fraser. In attendance were Mutch Dr. neighbours and Trinity United Church Women. Pallbearer­s were brothers-in-law Lew Livingston­e, Earle Murphy, Jerry Murphy, Garth Rogerson and Oliver Robichaud, and friend David Wood. Flowerbear­ers were grandchild­ren Madelyn Neale, Avery Neale, Ally Neale, Connor Smith, Isabella Neale and Helena Neale, who also lit special “Grampie” candles. Interment took place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

\The Quebec milk producer is worried that rumblings that Canada may sacrifice part of the sacred cow of supply management as a concession in trade negotiatio­ns with the United States would “punish” the dairy industry, open the floodgates to American milk products and prompt thousands of farm closures north of the border.

“There would be lots of bankruptci­es ... It would be devastatin­g,” he said from his farm south of Montreal.
