HALMAN, Eleanor Florence

The funeral mass for Eleanor Halman was celebrated Friday, September 7, 2018 from Hillsboro Funeral Home to St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus with celebrant Father Augustine proclaiming the gospel and delivering the homily. The first reading was proclaimed by Darcy Halman; second reading by Nancy Brandon and prayers of intercession by Matthew Halman. Music was provided by St. Patrick’s Parish Choir with organist - Kathleen MacDonald accompanied by guitarist Carmen Halman and Gary Chipman. Soloist were Carmen Halman and Carol ChipmanFrancis. The processional hymn was “Be Not Afraid”, psalm - “The Lord is my Shepherd”, offertory - “Just a Closer Walk with Thee”, communion - “Only a Shadow”, meditation “Because He Lives”, incense - “Song of the Angels” and the recessional hymn was “We’ll Meet Again”. The Eucharistic Ministers were Isabel Quinn and Ruth Shea. The cross bearer was George Gallant and the altar servers were Patrick Duffy and Barbara MacFarlane. The flower bearers were - Nancy Brandon and Carol Chipman-Francis. The honorary pallbearers were all in attendance. The pallbearers were grandsons - Darcy and Matthew Halman; nephews Martin, Henry and John Halman; and grandnephew - Allan Gillis. Interment followed the funeral liturgy at St. Patrick’s Cemetery with Fr. Augustine delivering the graveside prayers. Following the interment and reception was held at Paddy’s Pub.
