This re­fresher course for adults 55+ years of age is con­ducted in a class­room set­ting us­ing a Pow­erPoint pre­sen­ta­tion, stu­dent work­books, and group dis­cus­sions guided by an ex­pe­ri­enced in­struc­tor. A fee of $10 per per­son cov­ers the cost of the course man­ual and re­fresh­ments. There is lim­ited seat­ing and pr­ereg­is­tra­tion is rec­om­mended. Wed­nes­day, Oct. 24 for the Food Ex­change’s Step Up to the Plate fundrais­ing din­ner at the P.E.I. Farm Cen­tre, 420 Univer­sity Ave. Un­der the di­rec­tion of Chef Emily Wells this veg­e­tar­ian din­ner show­cases lo­cal, sea­sonal pro­duce.
