Baird Judson of Alexandra passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, October 13, 2018, in his 86th year. He is the son of the late H. Gay Judson and Ethel H. (Baird) Judson. Baird was a professor in the Engineerin­g department at the University of Prince Edward Island for many years. He is survived by his two sisters Joan Gosnell (the late Don) and Pat Smith (Don). He also leaves to mourn his special nephews and nieces Duncan, Chuck, Steve, Sandra, Liz, Allyson, Graeme and 9 grand nephews and nieces Eric, Heather, Parker, Edmund, Margaret, Simon, Martin, Oliver and many friends and relatives. Besides his parents and brotherin-law, he was predecease­d by his brother Charles and niece Gwen. A special thanks to doctors, nurses and staff that kindly looked after Baird at the QEH, Cancer Treatment Centre and the Kings County Memorial Hospital. It was greatly appreciate­d! Thank you to the many friends and relatives that visited him and made things enjoyable for him during his recent stay in the hospital. A celebratio­n of Baird’s life will be held in July 2019 with another announceme­nt later. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or to the Department of Engineerin­g at UPEI.
