WellSpring Presbyterian Church hosts Phase II and Friends in concert

-

People will be gathering this evening at WellSpring Presbyterian Church for a musical presentation featuring Phase II and Friends.

This show is designed to honour the many men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect the rights and freedoms of Canadians as well as everyone in the free world.

One of the few good things to come out of wars has been the music, and this performance will be filled with wonderful music which will help everyone to remember.

This is the group’s first visit to WellSpring Church, which is located in southern Kings County, and the whole band is really looking forward to it. Band members include Pat King, Gerry Hickey, Keila Glydon, John McGarry, Jeanie Campbell, Ed Young and Blaine Murphy.

The show will be in two parts. The first is a formal, scripted presentation with brief introductions to each song. After a short intermission, there will be a singalong, featuring old familiar tunes from the World War years. The audience will be encouraged to sing along to tunes like “Side By Side”, “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree”, “Pack Up Your Troubles” and “You Are My Sunshine”.

In the first half, folks will hear the music of Roger Whittaker, Vera Lynn, John McDermott and Elvis Presley, to name a few.

Tickets are available at the church office and at the door. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
