Stolen vehicle flees Summerside police

-

The Summerside Police Service received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Harvard Street residence Friday morning.

The vehicle, a silver 2015 Subaru Outback, is believed to have been stolen between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Shortly after the vehicle was reported stolen, a member of the RCMP observed the vehicle in the Read’s Corner area, but it fled westbound on Water Street and failed to stop for police.

The vehicle was later located travelling at a high rate of speed in the Central Street north area and was last seen travelling east on Route 2 passing the Traveller’s Rest intersection and heading toward Kensington.

The vehicle had P.E.I. license plate 1IX attached and has a long scratch down the passenger’s side.

Anyone with information is asked to call Summerside police at 902-432-1201.
