Hur­ri­canes play­ing Sea­wolves to­day in Saint John, N.B.

The Hol­land Col­lege Hur­ri­canes vol­ley­ball teams hit the road to­day to tan­gle with the UNBSJ Sea­wolves in Saint John, N.B. Start times for the At­lantic Col­le­giate Ath­letic As­so­ci­a­tion (ACAA) con­tests are 2 p.m. for the women and 4 p.m. for the men. The men’s ‘Canes (1-0) picked up a straight-sets vic­tory over the Univer­sité Sainte-Anne last week­end and sit in sec­ond place in the ACAA be­hind St. Thomas (2-0). UNBSJ is 0-1 af­ter open­ing the sea­son with a loss to St. Thomas.

On the women’s side, Hol­land Col­lege (3-1) finds it­self in a three-way tie for sec­ond place with Mount Al­li­son and King’s Col­lege while fifth­place UNBSJ is 1-2.

Aaron Pugh and Brett But­ler each had seven kills in the ‘Canes vic­tory. Brit­tany States and Abby Hyn­d­man have had strong starts to the sea­son for the ‘Canes as both sit in the top10 in kills per set in the ACAA with 2.31 and 1.92, re­spec­tively.
