Panelists provide information on learning disabilities
Learning disabilities, an evening of questions and answers for the early years of the LD journey, is Nov. 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in Room 125, Royalty Centre, Enman Crescent, Charlottetown.
There is no charge to attend. A panel of professionals experienced in the area of learning disabilities will answer pre-submitted questions and questions from the audience regarding the early years of those with learning disabilities covering parental concern, diagnosis, early years at school and early years at home.
The session will be moderated to allow questions and answers. Audience members will be asked to frame anything as a question rather than as a statement.
For those unable to attend or who prefer not to stand and ask a question, they may submit a question in advance. Answers to questions will also be posted after the event on LDA social media. The room capacity is a maximum of 40. Registration is required by email to panel@ldapei.ca. If significantly oversubscribed an alternative local venue will be used and those wishing to attend will be notified.
Confirmed panellists include Dr. David Wong, pediatrician and LDAPEI board member, Rebecca Deacon, a psychological associate who formerly worked as a school psychologist and now is in private practice, as a Public Schools Branch representative.
