Kings counter At­tack in third pe­riod

The Kings County Kings out­gunned the Cen­tral At­tack with four, third-pe­riod goals and notched an 8-5 win in P.E.I. Mid­get AAA Hockey League ac­tion Thurs­day at Cody Banks Arena.

Kings County had a 4-3 edge go­ing into the third un­til Ri­ley Jamieson, Jake Ma­cLaren, Alexan­der Dixon (1-1) and Ja­cob MacPhee broke the game open.

Jamieson and Ma­cLaren each scored in first and sec­ond pe­ri­ods to record hat tricks. Cam White (3), Owen MacNeil (3), Gabe Hartlen (2) and Jack King (2) each chipped in mul­ti­ple as­sists.

John MacKin­non (1-1), Noah Dow (1-1), Owen Mathe­son, Josh Lund and Isaac McCabe net­ted the At­tack mark­ers, while Em­mett Lyons added three as­sists.

Ben Bruce earned the win over Kee­gan Duffy.

Cen­tral was 1-for-3 on the power play. Kings County went 0-for-1 on its only chance with the ex­tra man.
