Lady Singers of Our Cen­tury on stage Dec. 10

The Lady Singers of Our Cen­tury are ready to cel­e­brate the spirit of Christ­mas as they present their fi­nal Christ­mas show on Dec. 10 at Winsloe United Church.

For tick­ets, call any mem­ber of the group, the church of­fice at 902-368-1233 or Judy at 902-8949901. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. with doors open­ing at 6:30 p.m. Tick­ets also avail­able at the door.

The group has been play­ing to large crowds, singing songs of their favourite artists and old and newer Christ­mas songs. Here are some of the high­lights. “Rock Around the Christ­mas Tree”, sung by Anne Mur­ray, is pre­sented by Judy McGre­gor and Joan Reeves. “The Heck with Old Santa Claus”, recorded by Loretta Lynn is pre­sented by Jolee Patkai, and a favourite Christ­mas song, “Let it Snow” is pre­sented by Keila Gly­don. “The Sea­son Will Never Grow Old”, recorded by the late Rita MacNeil is pre­sented by Colleen MacPhee.

McGre­gor and Reeves, who star as Anne Mur­ray and Con­nie Fran­cis, host the show.

Gly­don, who stars as Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette, will be singing their more pop­u­lar Christ­mas songs. She also per­forms with Phase II and Friends.

Patkai is a mem­ber of Tre­ble with Girls and stars as Loretta Lynn and Crys­tal Gayle.

MacPhee, who pays trib­ute to MacNeil, will be singing a num­ber of favourite Christ­mas songs.
