Holland College to offer golf and photography programs in September

-

After pulling the plug last year on golf and photography programs, Holland College is set to offer lightened options in both of these fields in September.

In March 2018, the college announced it was suspending its golf club management program and its photography and digital imaging program due to low enrolment.

Both were two-year programs. Holland College will be offering a one-year golf operations program starting in September. The program emphasizes the development of a broad range of skills tailored to demands in the golf industry. Students will learn how to help run a facility smoothly from ensuring the grounds are kept properly and the pro shop is well stocked.

Programming will also cover hosting tournaments and club events. Through experiential coursework, students will learn how to improve their golf game and how to help others improve their game. Graduates can move into the second year of the sports and leisure management program.

A one-year photography and videography program will also start in September, providing a foundation in digital imaging and videography.
