The death oc­curred peace­fully, at An­drews of Sum­mer­side, on Satur­day, Jan­uary 12, 2019, of Mary Martin, of Sum­mer­side, aged 97 years. Born in Ersk­ine, Al­berta, she was the daugh­ter of the late Mal­colm and

Sarah MacNeill. After the early deaths of her par­ents, she was lov­ingly cared for by her aunt Effie (Char­lie) MacWil­liams and by her fos­ter par­ents Dun­can and Louise Ri­ley, Belle River, P.E.I. Beloved mother of Mar­garet “Mysie” Martin, Bill (Ellen) Martin, Jean­nie Martin (Doug Bursey) and Ken­nie (Carla) Martin; adored Nan­nie of Blythe Martin (Jor­dan Mol), Heather Martin, Ruth Martin (Zachary Lan­glois), Ross Martin, Emma Martin and Rob­bie Alec Bursey; great-grand­daugh­ter Libby Mol; and dear cousin Peggy Pant­ing. Also lov­ingly re­mem­bered many nieces & neph­ews, in-laws, Alex & Min­nie Martin & An­nie Gillis. Pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Archie W. Martin; a brother Al­bert MacNeill; and by her sis­ters Vina MacNeill, in child­hood, and Kath­leen “Kay” (Lloyd) Fur­ness. Rest­ing at the Moase Fu­neral Home, Sum­mer­side, un­til Wed­nes­day, then to Trin­ity United Church, Sum­mer­side, for fu­neral ser­vice at 10:30 a.m. In­ter­ment later in Peo­ples Ceme­tery, Sum­mer­side. Vis­it­ing hours Tues­day from 4-7 p.m. If so de­sired, in lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial do­na­tions to the Prince County Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion, Trin­ity United Church, Sum­mer­side, or a char­ity of your choice would be ap­pre­ci­ated.
