The death occurred peacefully, at Andrews of Summerside, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, of Mary Martin, of Summerside, aged 97 years. Born in Erskine, Alberta, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and

Sarah MacNeill. After the early deaths of her parents, she was lovingly cared for by her aunt Effie (Charlie) MacWilliams and by her foster parents Duncan and Louise Riley, Belle River, P.E.I. Beloved mother of Margaret “Mysie” Martin, Bill (Ellen) Martin, Jeannie Martin (Doug Bursey) and Kennie (Carla) Martin; adored Nannie of Blythe Martin (Jordan Mol), Heather Martin, Ruth Martin (Zachary Langlois), Ross Martin, Emma Martin and Robbie Alec Bursey; great-granddaughter Libby Mol; and dear cousin Peggy Panting. Also lovingly remembered many nieces & nephews, in-laws, Alex & Minnie Martin & Annie Gillis. Predeceased by her husband Archie W. Martin; a brother Albert MacNeill; and by her sisters Vina MacNeill, in childhood, and Kathleen “Kay” (Lloyd) Furness. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, Trinity United Church, Summerside, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
