Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre of Jean White (nee Kelly), on Sunday, January 13, 2019, formerly of Donagh, aged 97. Daughter of the late Owen Kelly and Janie Corcoran. Jean grew up in Pisquid. Wife of the late Walter White, Jean (Ma) leaves to mourn her children: Irene Sanderson (Donnie), Maurice (Barbara), Bob (Danuta), Marian, Peter (Jacky), MaryLou, Vic, Janet (Steve), Ed (Janice), daughter-in-law Mary Perry White, 25 grandchild­ren, 14 great-grandchild­ren, numerous nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by her son Dan, daughter-in-law Wendy, greatgrand­son Aiden and siblings John, Beatrice, Urban, Florence, Theresa and Viola. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 3-7 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 2:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Right to Life or St. Patrick’s Parish would be appreciate­d. Completion of funeral arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home. The funeral mass for the late Mabel Frances Grant was held at St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church in St. Teresa, on Friday, January 11, 2019 with celebrant Father Augustine Ignasimuth­u officiatin­g. Altar servers consisted of Leonard Rogerson, Josephine Rogerson and Rita Curran. The urn bearer was Meaghan Grant. Flower bearers were Christine Handrahan and Meredith Grant. The first reading was read by Andrea MacPherson, while Sean McCarthy proclaimed the second reading. Mike McCarthy offered the prayers of intercessi­on. Eucharisti­c ministers were Anna Curran and Deanna Curran. St. Cuthbert’s church choir under the direction of Mary Trainor, and organist, Margie Scotto provided the music for the celebratio­n singing, Procession­al, Morning Has Broken; Psalm, The Lord is My Shepherd; Preparatio­n of Gifts, Gentle Woman; Communion, Peace is Flowing; incensing, Songs of the Angels; and the Recessiona­l, How Great Thou Art. Interment will be held at a later date in the church cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
