Doucette sparks Clippers’ offence

Ben Doucette had three hits and Charles MacLellan went the distance to lead the Cardigan Clippers to a 9-6 win over the Northside Brewers Sunday in Kings County Baseball League action. The Clippers took an eightrun lead after three innings, which held up as the difference after the Brewers scored five runs in the fifth inning.

Kevin MacLeod was 2-for-2 in the victory while Liam Laybolt went 2-for-4. Nick Ryan led the Brewers, going 3-for-4 while Nigel Fisher and Will Jadis were each 2-for-3.

Jason Maclean started for the Brewers, before turning the ball over to Jed MacEwen and Isaac Compton.
