QUINN, Imelda

-

It is with a broken heart that I must announce the death or our mother, Imelda Quinn on June 7, 2019 at the age of 85 she passed away peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home. Imelda was born in Emyvale to her late parents, Jim and Mary Quinn. She was fiercely proud of her home and Irish heritage. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Eddie; her sisters, Theresa, Rosalie, Loretta, Doris and Mae. She is survived by her sisters, Edith and Joan. Imelda was a dear mother of Joseph (William), Leo (Natalie), Theresa (Ross), Angie (Angela James), Mark (Aqilah), Anthony (Debbie) and John (Trish). Also, she is lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren. This remarkable lady adored her grandchildren, always was soft-hearted towards the less fortunate, was a fine compassionate nurse and made life more beautiful with her simple smile. Her style, generosity, caring, sense of humour and opinions will be missed by everyone. At Imelda’s request there will not be any visitation or funeral. Instead a celebration of her life memorial will be held at the Kelly’s Cross Community Center from 2p.m. to 4p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Also, those who wish to contribute to her memory may offer a donation to a charity of their choice.
