Australian doctor child porn case adjourned

-

An Australian doctor facing child pornography charges in P.E.I. won’t have his case called again until September as the matter waits to be dealt with in his home country.

Dr. Stephen Peter Menzies Murray didn’t appear before Chief Justice Tracey Clements in P.E.I. Supreme Court in Charlottetown Tuesday when his case was called.

Lawyer Brendan Hubley, who was there on Murray’s behalf, said Australian prosecutors have taken over the file and he was advised it will take two or three months for it to be dealt with. Murray was charged in P.E.I. last year with possessing, making and distributing child pornography.
