Gas Stations:

In Charlottet­own, the Capital Drive Esso and the Riverside Drive Irving will remain open 24 hours a day. The Stratford Esso just off the Hillsborou­gh Bridge will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, then operate from 12 to 5 p.m. on Christmas and return to regular hours on Boxing Day.

The Cornwall Esso along the highway closes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, then will be closed on Christmas and return to regular hours Boxing Day morning. In Hunter River, the highway Irving will be open 24 hours throughout all three days, and the North Rustico Irving on Main St. will be open regularly on Christmas Eve but closed on Christmas and Boxing Day.

The Main St. Irving in Souris will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all three days, while the Main St. Irving in Montague will close at 10 p.m. Christmas Even, operate 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas, then return to regular hours on Boxing Day.

Pharmacies:

Murphy’s Pharmacy locations will be closing between 4 and 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve in Charlottet­own. The North Rustico pharmacy on Cavendish Road closes at 2 p.m., and the Morell pharmacy on Sunset Crescent closes at 3 p.m.

All Murphy’s, Lawtons Drugs and Pharmasave locations will be closed on Christmas in central and eastern P.E.I. If in need, both Shoppers Drug Mart’s along upper and lower University Avenue in Charlottet­own will be open from 12 to 5 p.m. that day.

On Boxing Day, Murphy’s, Lawtons Drugs and Pharmasave locations will have late opens ranging between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Shoppers Drug Mart locations will open at 10 a.m. and return to regular hours.

Food and Liquor Stores:

All Sobey’s and Superstore chains will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, then remain closed throughout both Christmas and Boxing Day.

PEI Liquor Stores across the Island will also follow this schedule.

Tim Hortons restaurant­s will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, then be closed on Christmas.

On Boxing Day, they will return to their regular hours.

Shopping (in Charlottet­own):

The Charlottet­own Mall will be open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, while the Confederat­ion Court Mall will close at 4 p.m.

Walmart will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

All three will be closed on Christmas and Boxing Day.
