Kensington shows Pride

-

Kensington Mayor Rowan Caseley, left, raises his town’s first Pride flag with the assistance of Pride P.E.I. member Tyler Murnaghan in the town square Wednesday. Caseley says the flag “... represents and shows our openness, our welcoming spirit and our acceptance of all demographics of our community. Today we are joining other progressive communities on Prince Edward Island by raising the Pride flag and putting our welcoming and inclusive spirit on full display. We want to send a clear message today to all residents and visitors to our town that you are accepted; you are welcomed. As we raise this flag for Pride Week, let us remember to be respectful and welcoming to all those in the LBGTQ+ community.” Pride Week events continue today and Saturday. Visit pridepei.ca for an events schedule.
