HOPKINS, Sheryl Elaine

Sheryl Elaine Hopkins of Mount Herbert, PEI and formerly of Smithsville, She lburne County, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, November 13, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Bertha (Hopkins) Thomas and the late Frederick Hopkins of Smithsville. Survived by siblings Winnifred Hopkins, Laura Perry (the late Nelson), Robert (Jean), and Linda Murchison (Wendell). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Margaret Nickerson (the late Rogers) and brother Bruce Hopkins. She was welcomed warmly and developed a sincere fondness for her second family in PEI. She had a loving, kind heart, loving people from all walks of life. She had many dear friends, and none were forgotten throughout her life. She loved cooking, country music, and spending time with family and friends. One of her fondest memories was her to visit to her Uncle Ronald Sears’ gravesite, at Adegem Canadian War Cemetery, Belgium. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the attending doctors and nurses at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A graveside service will be held at Woodside Cemetery in Port La Tour, Nova Scotia.
