Gordon Samuel Trivett, age 88, of Stratford, PE, passed away on October 14, 2020 after a short illness. Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years Anna Margaret Trivett (nee Bagnell) on December 28, 2016. Gordon received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1956 and worked as a Professional Engineer in industry, government and university for over 50 years. Intellectual curiosity coupled with a strong desire for higher learning brought him back to university where he earned his Master of Engineering degree from TUNS in 1982 and later a PhD in Engineering from Leeds University in 1986. Gordon considered Friday the 13th his lucky day and was quick to remind all that he celebrated many positive career and family milestones on these days. Gordon was a proud Professional Engineer, holding qualifications in Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI and BC at different stages of his career. He maintained a passion for hands-on work including all things mechanical, whether rebuilding engines, making furniture, restoring a wooden sailboat, home building or tinkering with inventions. Gordon was deeply proud of all his children; Dianne (Blake Lewis), Elaine (David Donohoe), Michael (Sharon Skolrood) and Andrew (Lana Beth Barkhouse) and his 10 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. A private memorial service was held on Tuesday October 27th in the chapel at Andrews of Stratford.
