MALONE, Daniel Barry (Dan)

In the late hours of Friday afternoon, April 17, 2021, Dan passed suddenly and quickly at his retirement home on Stewart Cove, Stratford PEI. He was born, raised and educated in Charlottetown PEi and was proud to be part of the UPEI graduating class of 1971. He had a long and rewarding career working in Mental Health & Addictions on PEI. Dan is the treasured and much loved spouse of Joanne Malone (Shepherd). Dear father to three children: Kym Boyco and children Trysten and Rheannon of Edmonton, Allberta; Tracy Malone (Peter Evans) and children Rhys, Fiona, and Simon of Toronto Ontario and now Stanhope PEI; Craig Malone (Jayne) and children Ella and Mason. Dan will also be fondly remembered by Joanne’s daughter Alyson Macdonald House (Sam) and children Joshua and Sophie as well as Teresa McCabe, mother to Tracy and Craig. Dan is one of 7 siblings born to the late Leo and Nellie Malone. He is survived by his siblings: Ray, Linda Cheverie, Eileen Bell, Jerry and their families as well as brother-in-law George Stewart. He was predeceased by sisters Sr Janet Malone and Rosemary Stewart as well as sister-in-law Pat Malone. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation and service will be held with interment of cremains at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI or charity of your choice.
