Cavendish Beach Music Festival cancelled this summer

-

CAVENDISH, P.E.I. – This year's Cavendish Beach Music Festival (CBMF) has been cancelled.

It was set to run July 9-11, but due to the uncertainty surrounding border closures, and in accordance with Chief Public Health Office officials and the province of P.E.I., it won’t be held, said Jeff Squires, president of Whitecap Entertainment.

“We want to thank our fans for their patience, loyalty and trust as we operate in these challenging times," said Squires in a news release on April 20.

Although organizers had hoped the festival would be a go this year, Squires said they’re working on a modified event for later in the summer to welcome fans to the beach for a fun and safe event.

“We will be in touch with more details on future events, and in the meantime be kind, stay safe and continue supporting our artists.”

Ticket buyers who chose to keep their 2020 tickets for the 2021 festival will be issued a full refund beginning June 1.

Ticket holders are asked to allow up to two weeks for processing time and for refunds to appear on bank statements.
