SILVERBACKS SWEEP WAY TO TITLE
David Ling had a hat trick and two assists recently as the Merchantman Silverbacks clinched the second division championship of the Queens County Rec Hockey League with a 6-4 win over the P.E.I. Brewing Company Blues at the Eastlink Centre. The Silverbacks swept the best-of-three championship series 2-0. The Silverbacks also defeated the Entrance Engine Services Pistons and Drywalruses in three games each to get to the final.
