It is with heavy hearts, that the family announces the sudden passing, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on April 16, 2021, of Verlie Roma (Buell) Porter of Montague. Loving remembered by daughter Penni (Keith) Vuozzo; granddaughters Kandace (Jed) Perkins and Chelsea (Garrett) Arsenault; and greatgrandchildren Madison Arsenault, Scarlett Arsenault and Bianca Buttons. Survived by sisters Hester Glover, Edera Buell and Rhonda Nicholson. Predeceased by parents Russell & Blanche Buell; husband James Alfred Porter; granddaughter Heidi Vuozzo and brother-inlaw Rupert Glover. Arrangements in the care of Southern Kings & Queens Funeral home, Murray River. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. A committal service was held at Murray River Cemetery on April 19, 2021 officiated by Rev. Debbie Aitken. Pallbearers were Keith Vuozzo, Garrett Arsenault, Rupert Glover, and John Schellekens. If desired, donations can be made in Verlie’s memory to Memorial United Church. Due to Covid-19, we are unable to accept donations in person.
