Possible bridge restrictions today

The Confederation Bridge is warning that high winds may lead to restrictions on the span this afternoon and into Friday.

The site-specific weather forecast the bridge received from RWDI (Rowan Williams Davies and Irwin) Weather Services indicates high winds beginning at 1 p.m. today and continuing until 10 a.m. Friday.

A developing spring storm travelling up from Long Island, N.Y., is causing wind warnings for parts of Atlantic Canada. Gale warnings are also in effect for parts of the Northumberland Strait beginning later today.
