Line-ups announced for summer shows at Harmony House

HUNTER RIVER, P.E.I. – Harmony House has prepared another season of summer performanc­es featuring P.E.I. artists and comedians in shows and musicals for kids and adults.

Comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines are set to put a smile on the audience's face when they bring the Island Summer Reviewback to the stage, with performanc­es on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m., until Sept. 1.

A concert featuring a night of investigat­ion and revelation into the history of the hist song, American Pie written by Don McLean, will run Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m., from July 15 to Aug. 27.

Join Mike Ross, along with Alicia Toner, Brielle Ansems and Greg Gale, as they dive deep into the mysteries of this No. 1 hit. What happened that tragic night in 1959? How do The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and Charles Manson all fit in?

Why were the Rolling Stones blamed for a murder? And who was Miss American Pie? Shows are Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m., July 15 to Aug. 27.

Harmony House will also be presenting two daytime musical offerings for children and families. Children's performanc­es are Wednesday to Saturday at 11 a.m., from July 8 to Aug. 28.

Allegra's Magic Flute revisits Mozart's most famous opera and will be sung by opera singers, accompanie­d by piano and cello.

Luka's Fiddle will be a performanc­e of stories and traditiona­l folk music featuring young Island fiddler Luka Hall and Michael Pendergast.
