The death occurred peacefully surrounded by family at the Atlantic Baptist Home on Tuesday July 6th, 2021 of Mrs. Kathleen MacDonald (nee Walsh) of Charlottetown and formerly of Blooming Point age 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Lorne MacDonald. Born in St. Ann’s, daughter of the late Louis and Catherine Walsh (Murphy). Dear sister of Marjorie Crawford (late Alfred), Emeric (Pauline), of Charlottetown, Marion Myers (Gordon), of St. Mary’s, Leo (Betty) of St. Ann’s, Earl (Gloria) of North Rustico, Rose Hennessey (Andy) of Charlottetown. Predeceased by brothers Vernon and wife Mary, Stephen and wife Shirley, and sister, Bernadette and Ralph McQuaid. Dear sisterin-law of Roderick (late June) MacDonald, and Sister Joan MacDonald C.S.M. of Charlottetown and Terence McKenna (late Margaret) of 48 Road. Predeceased by sister-in-law, Mary McBride, brother-in-law, John MacDonald and parents-in-law Roderick Leonard and Mary (nee MacDougall) MacDonald. Dear aunt of numerous nieces and nephews who spent many cherished memories with her at their cottage in Blooming Point. She temporarily entered the Sisters of St. Martha only to return home to teach before she accepted work as a Library technician for the provincial government. She married her soul mate Lorne on June 11, 1982 and so cherished every moment spent with him. After he passed away she devoted much of her time to family. She was very spiritual spending lots of time praying for many family and friends and we know she will continue to pray and watch over us until we meet again. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home 33-35 Longworth Ave. Due to COVID restrictions private visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only.
