Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, July 9, 2021, of Douglas Michael MacDougall, of MacDougall’s Corner, Grand River, aged 68 years. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Walter and Faustina (Curley) MacDougall. Beloved husband of 38 years to Francie (Dunn) MacDougall. Dear father of Cory, Ashley (Mitch) and Matthew (Brittany). Proud grandfathe­r of Liam O’Halloran. Doug is survived by his brothers Donnie, Kevin (Cathy), Billy (Michele), Jimmy (Sharon) and Kenny (Betty); brother-in-law Cletus (Linda) Dunn; sisters-inlaw Sr. Gemma Dunn, Colette (Paul deceased) Hatton, Andrea (Gerald) McCarthy, Patrice (Donald) MacDonald and Helene (Kerry) Moore; fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and godchildre­n. Predecease­d by his father and mother-in-law Frank and Eileen Dunn; and by a brother-in-law Ken (Sharon) Dunn. Doug was a teacher, a principal in Ellerslie and Miscouche schools, an education consultant with the Western School Board, the Department of Education and with the Lennox Island Band Council. Doug has always been actively involved in his home parish of St. Patrick’s Church, Allied Youth and with many community organizati­ons. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where private family visiting hours will be held by invitation only. A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Grand River. Interment in the St. Patrick’s Parish Cemetery, Grand River.
