Police seize drugs and weapons
CLYDE RIVER, P.E.I. – Police seized drugs, weapons and cash during a targeted traffic stop in Clyde River on Thursday, July 15.
In a release July 19, Charlottetown Police said the Street Crime Unit searched a vehicle on Herlihy Drive where they found a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine tablets, crystal methamphetamine, Ritalin, lorazepam, prohibited brass knuckles and $1,000 cash.
Police said a 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested, but was later released.
The man is set for a court appearance at a later date to face charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and breach of probation.
