Nov. 12, 1933May 11, 2022 Marie was called to heaven on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the age of 88 years. She passed peacefully at Kipling Acres with her loving daughter, Carla by her side. Marie was born in beautiful Watervale, Prince Edward Island

and was a sister of 12. She will always be remembered as a passionate redhead that was driven and hard working. Marie’s love, knowledge

and tenderness was observed during her 38 years as a labour and delivery nurse. Marie took pride in her profession as a registered nurse in labour and delivery at Northweste­rn General Hospital. She cared deeply for others and was known to always worry about those near and dear to her heart. She loved deeply. Marie always had a thirst for learning. Up until she resided at Kipling Acres, Marie exercised daily, attended art class, piano lessons and computer courses. Marie met her beloved husband Desmond at a dance in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island. Their love flourished and grew as they celebrated 53 years of marriage. Marie and Des are now reunited and together again. Marie is predecease­d by her loving parents, Louis and Irene Trainor. Cherished mother to her only daughter Carla (Ben) who will miss

her greatly. Marie will forever be in the heart of her granddaugh­ter Lisa (Ross)

Whitney who she was an inspiratio­n and role model. GG will be dearly missed and cherished by her greatgrand­daughter Kaia Whitney who Marie adored and was

very proud of. Marie was a dear sister of the late Gus, Viola (Frank), Ernie (Kay), Mary (Claude), Theresa, the late Basil (Wanda), Vernon (May), Allan (Theresa), Pius (Janet), Eddie (Donna), Bernadette (Dave), and a sister-in-law to the late Ezekiel (Marjorie), the late Elaine (the late Ray), Marjorie (Reg), Regina (the late George), Marina (the late Don), Eldon (the late Jean), Gerard, George (Linda), Winston and Marcellus (the late Marilyn). She was loved by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A heart felt thank you to Jini, Rema, Dr. Karen Cronin and all the incredible staff that took such

great care of Marie at Kipling Acres Long Term Care. Your kindness and love towards Marie was very much appreciate­d. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard) on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict Church, 2194 Kipling Avenue, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 10 a.m. (For those who wish to join virtually, a webcast of funeral will be provided).
