Traditional music
• Tunes at the Schooner Session with Mark Douglas and Friends is Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., at the Old Triangle in Charlottetown.
• The Ceilidh on May 20, 8 p.m., in the Katherine Hughes Memorial Hall in the Irish Cultural Centre at 582 North River Rd., Charlottetown, will feature Fullerton's Marsh (Randy Dibblee, Willie Arsenault, Frank Mcquaid). There will be a 50-50 draw, and a light snack is served at intermission. • Tunes on Tap, a weekly dose of toe-tapping traditional music is at Copper Bottom Brewing in Montague, Sundays, 3-5 p.m. The performers on May 22 are Christine Melanson and Megan Bergeron.

• Island Jazz Reminiscin' featuring Chris Martell, with Ian Toms and Mat Mceachern is at Baba's Lounge in Charlottetown, May 19, with two sets starting at 8 p.m. Donations are at the door. The Island Jazz series continues Thursday nights.

• The P.E.I. Bluegrass & Old Time Music Society will present a concert of bluegrass and old-time music May 22, 2 p.m., at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Stratford, a fundraiser for the 35th P.E.I. Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival at the Dundas Fair Grounds in Dundas, July 1-3. The concert lineup includes The Stiff Family, Bluestreak, Janet Mcgarry and Serge Bernard and Bluegrass Revival. Admission is a $12 donation at the door. Refreshments will be available during intermission if current pandemic restrictions allow. Memberships to the P.E.I. Bluegrass & Old Time Music Society will be available. The church, a spacious, accessible venue with lots of parking, is located at 295 Shakespeare Dr., Stratford.
• Cherry Gang (Logan Richard, Sam Langille, Josh Langille) is at the Trailside Music Hall, 155 Kent St., Charlottetown, May 22, 8 p.m. Aaron Comeau will be opening.
• Three Oaks Band Spring Concert is May 26 at the College of Piping in Summerside. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m., featuring the symphonic band, jazz combo and wind ensemble This will be a celebration of the students' first live performance for a public audience since early March 2020. All are welcome. Tickets are $10. Children under 10 are free (call the box office for a child ticket).

Literary events
• A Fundraiser for Ukraine is May 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at The Gallery, 82 Great George St., Charlottetown, featuring an evening of poetry by local poet Roderick Macdonald, who will read from his book, Here and There. • The Hilda Woolnough Gallery at The Guild (111 Queen St.) is featuring The Time of Our Lives Seniors College Group Art Show until May
20. This is the 10th anniversary for this group show. The P.E.I. Photo Club's 40th annual print exhibition will be held at The Hilda Woolnough Gallery @ The Guild, May 25 to June 14. Everyone is invited to attend the grand opening on May 25 at 7 p.m. Participating photographers will each present a series of images on a theme and in a style of their choice, showcasing the amazing diversity and talent of club members.
