Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottet­own on Sunday, March 10, 2024, the death occurred of James “Charles” Griffin, Alexandra, age 75. Son of the late James Griffin and Margaret (Mcavoy) Griffin-mullen. Dear husband of Linda (Cameron) Griffin and father of Michelle Griffin-smith (Allison), and Michael Griffin (Maze Macdonald). Grandfathe­r of Devon Griffin, Hope Griffin, Chloe Griffin, Jack Griffin, and greatgrand­father of Sawyer Leclair. Charlie is survived by his brothers and sisters, Loyola, Kevin (Diane), Gerard (Linda), Thelma Gallant, Dolores Griffin (Robert Beamish), and Rita Stanley (Garth). Brother-in-law of Sharon Griffin, Carolyn Cameron (James O’connell), Edward Cameron (Lillian Perry), Paul Cameron, and Donna Blanchard (Michael). Charlie will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predecease­d by his stepfather, Irwin Mullen; parents-inlaw, Norman and Nina Cameron; brother, Joseph Griffin; sisters, Mary Curtis and Rose Saville; sister-inlaw, Shirley Griffin; brothers-in-law, Edward Gallant, Ray Beaton, Charles Curtis, Edward Power, George Murphy and George Saville. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford where a service of celebratio­n will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday March 14, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 13, from 3-6 p.m. Interment later in St. Ann’s Parish Cemetery, Emyvale.
