9, 16 and 23 for an eight-week bridge course called: Planning the Play – The Next Level: Taking Precaution­s. Instructor Ray Malone will cover planning safety plays, keeping the danger hand off lead, retaining trump control, avoiding ruffs and trump promotion and planning your play to trick1. The curriculum will be taken from the bridge book, “Planning the Play: The Next Level,” by Barbara Seagram and David Bird. An adult teaching model will be used. The course will be held at the BIS Hall, North River Road, Charlottet­own. All Bridge players interested in improving their game are invited. • Saturday, April 6 (storm date: April 7), 8:30-11:30 a.m., for the second annual Pancakes for Parkinson fundraiser at the Malcolm Darrach Community Centre, 1 Avonlea Dr., East Royalty, put on by the P.E.I. Parkinson Associatio­n and the East Royalty Lions Club. In addition to breakfast, there will be 50-50 tickets for sale and fresh tulips from VANCO. Admission is a cash donation at the door. Fundraiser

• The seventh annual Moo Let’s Talk Day is March 22, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at two P.E.I. locations: 150 Queen St., Charlottet­own and COWS Creamery, 12 Milky Way Blvd. On March 22, 100 per cent of ice cream sales will be donated to the organizati­on. Organizers are looking forward to seeing a great turnout at both locations and to continue conversati­ons about mental health. • A compliment­ary community luncheon is at Hillcrest United Church, 50 Wood Island Hill, Montague, March 28, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy soup, sandwiches and dessert in a friendly setting. • P.E.I. Sociable Singles, a nonprofit, non-denominati­onal, social group, provides separated, divorced, widowed and unmarried people 50 and over with an opportunit­y to get out of the house and participat­e in healthy group and social activities. The courses are free for Miltonvale Park residents and offered at half the regular price for others. Miltonvale Park residents have priority in bookings. Crafting a Life You Love At Any Age, a fun, interactiv­e presentati­on and discussion, is April 3, 1:303:30 p.m., at The Living Well, 96 Patterson Dr., Hillsborou­gh Park. Facilitate­d by Jamie Feinberg, participan­ts will learn a four-step system for designing a life to love based on values, strengths, current reality and what matters most in this phase of life.
