Traditional music/ jam sessions
• Home-grown Harmony, a ceilidh with Jo-anne Ford and Michael Buell, is Thursdays, with the next one March 28, 7 p.m., upstairs in the Hambly room, Cavendish Wellness Centre, Montague. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Performers are Mary Lou Maclure, Brent Mackinnon, Adrian Power from Ocean Country and Mike Boudreault from Wythe Calamity Brothers and Dianne Deagle. There’s also an open mic. Tickets are $10 cash at the door. There’s a light lunch with tea and coffee, as well as a canteen. Seating is at tables and in rows. Net proceeds are to the local food bank. • Tunes are at the Schooner Session with Mark Douglas and Friends, Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., at the Old Triangle in Charlottetown.
• Weekly Friday night ceilidhs are at the Seniors Circle Club in St. Peter’s Bay, 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
• Kitchen party is at the Summerside Legion March 30, 2-5 p.m., featuring the Mcgarry brothers (Mike and John), playing classic country and old rock ’n’ roll. Admission is $5.
• Ceilidhs are at the Silver Threads Club, 78 Main St., Wednesdays, 7:30-10:30 p.m. There is a door prize, a 50-50 draw and a lunch. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $5. Call Thelma Macdonald, 902687-2652.
• Rustico Bay ceilidh and dance will be held April 6, 8 p.m., with Lost Soul. Vocalist Peter Burke, accompanied by musicians Mike Mcgarry and Brian Langille, will play some of your old country favorites as well a variety of rock and roll. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. There will be bar service and a 50-50 draw at this 19-and-over event. Admission is $12 at the door.
• Bonshaw Hall is hosting a celebration of spring's arrival with a ceilidh April 7, 2 p.m. Families and children are especially welcome, and there will be a short singalong for the kids. Performers include Alicia Toner and Max Keenlyside. Conifer seedlings will be given out, and folks can choose a book from a wide selection. Admission by donation at the door in support of the hall. Children under 12 are free.
• Winsloe United Church spring fundraiser ceilidh is April 7, 2 p.m. Host Jacinta Macdonald and the house band of Billy Matthews, David Berrigan, Brian Langille, Judy Lowe and Steven Perry welcome special guests Chad Matthews. The church which is wheelchair accessible. Coffee, tea and cold drinks will be served at intermission. Admission is $15 at the door, which opens at 1:30 p.m.
• Jam session is April 8, 6:30 p.m., at the Key Family Room, Summerside Rotary Library.

• Island Jazz Thursdays at Baba’s Lounge in Charlottetown on March 28 features Sean Ferris with original music. There are two sets with the first starting at 8 p.m. Donations are at the door with a $5 minimum.
• Rockstars: A Tribute to Nickelback is at the Trailside Music Hall, Charlottetown, March 29, 8 p.m.
• Gypsy: the ultimate tribute to Fleetwood Mac is March 23, 7:30 p.m., at the Scott Macaulay Performing Arts Centre, 619 Water St. East Summerside.

• Got Blues Matinee is two or three Saturdays a month, 2-4 p.m., at The Salvador Dali Cafe, 155 Kent St., Charlottetown. Hosted by Got Blues (Chris Roumbanis and friends Reg Ballagh and Mike Robicheau, each week there is a special guest for the first set with the second set an electric blues jam. • As part of the Sixty Days of Fame series, the Summerside Art Club has a new exhibit on display at the Lefurgey Cultural Centre – A View From the Farm. Rural landscape, architecture and animals are portrayed in the 35 works featuring a number of mediums. The exhibit runs to the end of March and can be viewed Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Confederation Centre Art Gallery is showing Donald Andrus: A
Retrospective until May 19; Arctic Visions, Arctic Life until April 7, Gestures: Traces of Embodiment until April 14. Also on display are Ronald Bloore, Paul Griffin, and Eleanor King in the Entrance Gallery and The Anne of Green Gables Manuscript: L.M. Montgomery and the Creation of Anne.
