Cocaine, meth, fentanyl seized in home search

Four people are facing a string of charges following a recent Charlottet­own home search which yielded cocaine, meth, fentanyl and a handgun.

Around 7:30 p.m. on March 21, police executed a search warrant at a home on Doncaster Avenue, arresting seven people at the scene and seizing the following: 34 Percocet tablets; 22 grams of crack cocaine; 36 grams of crystal meth; 74 grams of fentanyl; more than $7,400 in cash and a loaded Glock 9mm handgun. Police estimate the street value of the drugs to be over $43,000.

Three of the people were released without charges, while two others, a 35-yearold man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Charlottet­own, were each charged with traffickin­g cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl.

In addition, a 19-yearold Ontario man has been charged with four counts each of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g of oxycodone, crack cocaine, methamphet­amine and fentanyl.

A second 19-year-old Ontario man has also been charged with possession for the purpose of traffickin­g crack cocaine, methamphet­amine and fentanyl and the following additional charges: possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes; careless use of a prohibited weapon; carrying a concealed weapon; unauthoriz­ed possession of a firearm; possession of prohibited ammunition; possession of a loaded restricted firearm and three charges of failing to comply with a release order. The Ontario men are in custody for court appearance­s.
