Toner, a singer-songwriter based in Charlottetown, performs a fusion of pop, rock, folk and Americana. Her first CD, “I Learned the Hard Way,” in 2017 was released to critical acclaim, and her latest release, “Joan,” was an unexpected explosion onto the Canadian music scene. Beyond music, through a project titled "Dangerous Home," Toner candidly discusses topics like social anxiety and body image issues to contribute to the conversation around mental health.

Stone’s roots are from Richmond County, Cape Breton with musical influences of mid-1970s rock, country-rock, folk, bluegrass and traditional music. His 40year musical career began as a member of the much-loved Cape Breton band Brakin’ Tradition. When not touring, he kept a busy teaching schedule, passing on the traditions of his early surroundings to new generations. Now a resident of Meadow Bank, he enjoys select appearances as well as musical collaborations with friends and teaching banjo, guitar and various other instruments.
