TOMAN, Stephanie Ann

-

Of Orwell Cove, born November 14, 1954, passed quietly with her family close in the early morning hours of Thursday April 4, 2024. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Dawn. Survived by her loving husband Wayne of 29 years. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Susan, Thomas Jr., Gregory, Jennifer and Terri; and fondly remembered by her daughter, Tiffany; two granddaughters, Veronica and Jocelyn; and nephew, Jon. Steph will always be in the hearts of her extended family and friends coast to coast. Steph’s journey took her to many places across Canada. Her early years were spent in the Montreal area and in Southwestern Ontario. From there, her young family settled in northern British Columbia. She eventually returned to Ontario where, with her sister, she managed and owned an art gallery in Waterloo. There her appreciation of original art and her unique style shone through and contributed to her success. Strongly influenced by her mother’s love of dogs, Steph settled in Prince Edward Island with her husband, where she established her own kennel and bred Cardigan Welsh Corgis. Puppies bred by Steph have found their homes across Atlantic Canada and beyond. Her special friends Alex and Fran G. will complete the task of caring for the last litter of eight puppies born shortly before her passing. Steph will be remembered for her feisty spirit, curiosity and courage which took her on many adventures. She would often reflect on New Year’s vacations spent in the Caribbean or travels around Eastern Canada in their motorhome. These trips always included a visit to a Keg for prime rib and margaritas. She loved to cook and knew how to make a mean Caesar salad dressing and a great spaghetti sauce. To honor her wishes Stephanie has been cremated and there will not be a visitation or service. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the dedicated medical and nursing staff at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be shared with the family at: www.fergusonlogan.com
